Unconditional Basic Income

Three Trends that will Create Demand for an Unconditional Basic Income is an interesting idea. That everyone gets an income they can live on from the government. The writer lives in London, so the ideas are not as radical there as in the US.  Even it the idea has no chance of being adopted here or is personally repugnant, it is an interesting bit of trend analysis and extrapolation into the future.

It includes a bit of UK slang—a chugger is a charity mugger, someone who solicits for charities on the street.
